Clean Mold:

Mold in the Home, RV or Boat

Do you suspect that you have a mold infestation in your home, office, RV or boat? Perhaps you’ve been noticing a musty smell lately, or you’ve found your walls and tiles filled with a discoloration that wasn’t there before. Perhaps you just survived a flood, or a bad pipe leak, and decided to be extra cautious.

Do you have allergies, cough, fever or flu that recurs despite changes in your diet, therapy and medication?

Has your child been complaining of breathing issues lately? Have you been having memory problems?

Yes? Then we’re glad you got this report in time!

You and your loved ones may already be exposed to a life-threatening pollutant inside your own home, worksite or vehicles: molds.

Yes, molds!

We’re sure you’re already familiar with molds. Anytime we accidentally leave perishables unrefrigerated for a couple of days, we see mold grow on our food. After a period of rain or snow, mold grows in our garden or yard. Old books are often moldy.

But let’s face it: very few of us actually take mold as a serious health hazard. They’re disgusting, yes. Interesting in some cheeses, maybe. But a cause for panic and alarm? Certainly not.

Well, before you underestimate the impact of these little – and mostly invisible! --- ‘irritants’, you might want to consider the following:

More than 100,000 species of molds produce mycotoxins --- poisonous chemicals that cause allergic reactions, serious respiratory disorders, and even death. The alarming thing about mycotoxins? They are found in both living and dead mold, and can’t be destroyed by cooking or heating. Imagine eating something you unknowingly exposed to polluted air!

While it’s true that not all molds are instant poisons (in fact, some “exotic” delicacies are molds!), molds just by their chemical composition are the human body’s natural enemy. They contain a chemical glucose polymer that when inhaled, ingested or touched can seriously damage the immune system – the body’s only natural way of fighting diseases. Yup, initial exposure to mold may not send you to the hospital outright, but repeated or prolonged exposure to it can make you susceptible to all sorts of opportunistic diseases!
